Slicer 3.2

Slicer 3.2, a major release of the Slicer software platform is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2008. The new release contains hundreds of changes to the software, and some of the highlights include:

  • Multi-platform support: pre-compiled binaries for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux
  • New ways to display and interact with cross-sectional data
  • Scene snapshots allow capture of all visualization parameters of a scene
  • Advanced registration / data fusion capabilities
  • Based on latest releases of VTK (5.2), ITK (3.6), and CMAKE (2.6)
